The Husky 100 recognizes 100 UW undergraduate and graduate students from Bothell, Seattle and Tacoma in all areas of study who are making the most of their time at the UW. As Interactive Art Director for this project, I was tasked with creating an interactive experience to showcase these amazing students in an immersive and easily updatable way.
Role
Static Design
We started out with creating a static designs that featured beautiful photography along with an unique UX to keep the students front and center. We also wanted to be able to sort the students easily while maintaining a seamless experience.
Logo Design
A logo for the program also needed to be created. We wanted the logo to be on-brand, but also unique and scaleable. Below are a number of iterations from the creation process.
Final Design
The final design of the site mirrors the initial designs very closely. With 300 students being featured over the last 3 years, our concept has proven to be not only sustainable, but also functional. With numerous ways of filtering through so many recipients, potential employers have embraced this easy to use and responsive site.
